Looking to hire Sr. ETL Developer (clearance needed) Remote position, for a long term contract in DC area preferred local or candidate in the EST zone time.

Job Description

  1. Support the CDW project as a Data Analyst with specific activities to include:
    1. Collaborate on Dataset Design
      1. Understand the requirements and develop the appropriate documentation as needed to ensure a common understanding
    2. Creation of ETL Processes for New Data Sources
      1. Once DMD management provides the data sources, review all new data feeds and applicable documentation for completeness and accuracy.
      2. Coordinate with DMD and the applicable source system contacts to resolve any questions, issues, or concerns.
      3. Be prepared for data sets can be in a variety of formats such as various databases, Excel, and other formats
      4. Develop the necessary scripts for the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of new data sources into the Compliance Data Warehouse (CDW) Sybase stage data environment or other locations as needed
      5. Coordinate with DMD to understand the CDW standard guidelines and ensure that ETL processes and resulting datasets meet these guidelines
      6. Ensure that all processes will follow best practices to ensure efficient and effective loading of large datasets into the CDW environment.
    3. Complete Recurring Data ETL Processes
      1. Establish the ETL process frequency based upon the Governments needs and monitor them to ensure they are performing as expected
      2. Once the ETL processes are complete, review, analyze, and synthesize the data loads to eliminate duplication, formatting errors and ensure other anomalies are resolved to increase quality for data analytics
      3. Ensure high quality and trustworthy data as a variety of users will be accessing data sets and potentially integrating them with other data sets based upon their needs
    4. Enhancing the processes and quality of data sets as part of continuous improvement tasks to ensure high-quality data in the CDW
      1. Identify and track risks and open actions that could impact CDW customers or stakeholders and develop strategies for resolving them
      2. Present the risks, open actions, and strategies to the DMD personnel for joint discussion and approval prior to implementation
      3. Document processes and changes consistent with customer guidelines.
      4. Collaborate with other database administrators that may be Federal employees or other contractor teams by attending biweekly Data Working Group meetings.

Job Requirements Technical Skills

Minimum 5 year experience with the following technologies:

  1. Sybase Database
  2. Oracle Database
  3. MS SQL Server
  4. Advance SQL language skils
  5. EFTU Electronic File Transfer Utility
  6. ETL (Informatica PowerCenter)
  7. SQL
  8. UNIX / LINUX shell scripts
